I am so excited. Just got a phonecall today asking me to judge my breed for the first time, and at a major gundog open show. It will be in september this year. I am nervous already. Time to put all that ringside judging to the test!!!!

Congratulations. Just enjoy it, there is nothing like judging your own breed, its brilliant.  The nerves will disappear as soon as you go in the ring :D

Ahh well done you!

My first judging appointment of my current breed was in the country of origin Spain, I really enjoyed it.  Did have an appointment here in May but as I'd already agreed to another one in November and it's within 75 miles in a 12 month period I now can't do it!

Have a great time and as others say enjoy it.  I have to admit after juding Pom's and other toy breeds when I was a whipper snapper it's not really my cup of tea, but with the rules since I last judged changed quite a bit, I've got to start all the way from the bottom in a breed that myself and three friends imported!
