I am just wondering if conditions at Stafford showground may be a wee bit unpleasant. Can anyone that goes today give us an idea of how bad / good things are, please. Last year there were a few cars stuck in the mud and dont really feel like subjecting myself to that this year.
thanks
I was there in October for Midland Counties and everything was fine.
You've got me worried now, think I'll put my wellies in the car as a precaution - lol

I live around 30 minutes away and we had a couple of days of bad rain but yesterday was totally dry and so far it is today also. hopefully that will have given it chance to dry up a little and i know they don't suffer from flooding in that area so hopefully all will be ok. Ill ask a friend of mine who is going tomorrow how its looking.

Hi Danny
I was there today and it was not too bad, but it did start throwing it down with rain just as we were leaving, there were lots of cars parked on the grass but luckily we parked up near one of the halls so we were on the gravel bit - could always try doing that??
Good luck with your dog if you do decide to go :-)

Okay, just got back, have to say its not pretty. Very very muddy after huge downpours this morning. Wellies and a sense of humour a must. Some people were getting stuck as I left at 11.00am and it was still raining.
good luck if you decide to go, mucky pups all round I think
best wishes all xx
Ive just heard from a friend who has been there today too and she said tractors were pulling cars out of the mud!!! Not looking forward to that so might get dropped off!!!
Good luck to everyone braving the mudbath!!

Oh dear - I am there on Sunday!

I'm glad that I'm not bothering to go then. Was going to watch but as my garden looks like a mud bath and I think it will have rained more there I'm definitely not going to watch.
I braved it and it wasnt too bad. As long as you go really slowly over the grass it doesn't dig into the ground and stop you moving.
good luck to those going tomorrow.

We were very fortunate and in the main the car park attendants were parking you only around th edges of the grass areas so that you drove on but the back of your vehicle was overhanging the road way areas. Only saw one vehicle stuck and that was a big van that had driven into the middle.
