hi,
We are off to the Munster Circuit this year. My second time there and i am really looking forward to it! Does anyone know where i can get the list of judges from other than waiting for schedules?? Ive tried IKC and Irish Showdogs but nowhere gives you the judging lists. Any ideas???

Have you tried www.showdogsireland.com? click on shows and then judges lists. The list only goes up till July at present, so hopefully in a few weeks more will be added. Hope this helps.
Thank you, thats great. I'll keep checking!

I might just go. Hopefully getting a male to stay with me for a while so it would be nice to take him there maybe. He's already a champion in his own country so would be good to make him up to an intermational one.

You're welcome.
ooooh that sounds exciting. its a lovely week in the most beautiful friendly country i have ever visited. Id highly recommend it. We have just booked a lovely cottage near killarney and i can not wait!!
Diane,
You will love it..... we have done it twice now and it is fantastic. There is a much bigger group of Aussie people going this year so we will have even more fun, especially if we camp like last year !!! There will be 14 people in three tents...... :-D
Not many SWD's seem to be being shown over there, it seems to be the same person at most of the shows....

I must admit i'd love to do the Munster Circuit as it sounds like loads of fun, it just seems a bit daunting though.
You lot are all tempting me, i like the idea of making a little break out of it it sounds great ;-)

A couple of friends and I have been thinking about doing it. I almost ashamed to say that after almost 30 years of showing I have no idea what's involved! Could someone please tell me when and where the Munster circuit is - how many shows it encompasses and what I need in the way of FCI registrations (if any).
Thanks in advance :-D
Debs
hi debs,
For us golden people the week starts on the saturday with the All Ireland GRC, i think there are a lot of different breed shows that day. Sunday is Clonmel Champ show, then monday a day off, tuesday is another show, i cant remember what comes next but there is Killarney, Tralee and Limerick (i think), im sure someone will correct me if im wrong.Wednesday a day off, thursday another show, friday a day off then the last show on saturday! All you need to do is register your dogs with the Irish Kennel Club which is really easy, you just get registration docs from them and send them off with the fee. You must remember to send your KC docs though as i forgot mine so that delayed the process.
Its all pretty straight forward and well worth a visit!
Forgot to say debs, its all based in the Munster area of County Kerry. Killarney or nearby is the most convenient place to stay and i think the furthest we travelled was about 1 and half hours.I think the show at Clonmel is the furthest away but we stayed in a hotel nearby for that one then travelled on to our cottage after the show.
Hope this makes sense and gives you some idea!

Unfortantly no point me ever going as it's all FCI. None of mine could get graded more then a "good" (or is it "very good"?) due to they have ticking. Perfectly allowed over here but over there they don't like it and put colour before conformation. :-( So I won't be there any time in the forseeable future!

I have been before and to be truthful I was rather disappointed! It's not like our champ shows, numbers are very much like open shows, but it's outside in the pouring rain :d :d Though I still might go again!
