hiya

I have just got back into showing rottys again after a long absence, i used to show my dog up north he was well respected you should know the breed name, tavistock.

I''ve now got two a bitch and a dog thought i'd get back into the showing side after i came out the army due to an injury.

I took the two of them to a silly little show the other day just for something to do on saturday to my surprise dave got 1st in his class and pia took second in hers. at the end of the show they had a pairs for ppl who took two obviously haha and guess what happened? yup they won it. thought they had done very well till i was about to leave when the judge told me i had to wait for the best in show group. didn't think dave had a chance as he was on the beach earlier that day but yet again he won. walked away with five ribbens in then end.

Now to what i need help in i live down in cornwall (par) i've tried google but it came out with nothing i want to find out where there will be shows on for the rottys down my neck of the wood.

jolene the closing date for that show was on the 17 nov? do you know of anymore shows where i would be able to go to? cheers

Why not subscibe to either Our Dogs or Dog World, they advertise all the shows in them.

Newton Abbot and South Devon Canine Soc have 3 Rottie classes on 26 Jan at Exeter.  Sec 01803  521597 (office hours) or 01803 843566.  I went to their ringcraft tonight in Newton Abbot for the first time - a nice bunch of people.

I recently was pointed in the direction of "starprint" show diaries :) does anyone else use these? I'm finding it quite useful for list all open/champ shows around the country...................you never know Gary, you may get the bug and want to travel out of the SW :D

Hi Gary, welcome back to the Rott' ring!! I organise nearly all of my shows by the Starprint Show Diary, and also when you go to one or two shows in your area, you usually find more show schedules for later in the year aswell!! Are you coming up to LKA?
