The first (my affix) Champion was crowned yesterday, getting his third CC in a huge entry at a breed club show. It's been a long drawn out process, with CCs in 2004 and 2006, and four reserves too, but HE FINALLY DID IT!

He's owned by my good friend, who is very glad not to be having to continue to campaign him as he's too much like hard work for her in the ring, so well done if you're reading this. ;)

I'm just so proud of him. Although he looks a spring chicken, he'll be 6 in January and we were beginning to fear the third wouldn't come.

Now, where shall I put my Breeder's Diploma? :D :D :D

Many many many congratulations!!!!! :d

Always good to have someone else make up a Champion that you've bred.  Fabulous to have done it at a Club show too!

You must feel very proud and rightfully so :d

Excellent news and personally I think it looks good for a breeder to be seen selling winners on too.
- By Goldmali Date 25.11.07 19:04 UTC
Fantastic!! There really is nothing quite as special as having bred and sold a dog that does well i think -it's double joy. :)
- By Brainless [gb] Date 25.11.07 19:23 UTC
Have to agree there much nicer when somoen else has one you bred, adn even better you can have the enjoyment without having had to get out of bed to show it.
- By Lily Mc [gb] Date 26.11.07 08:44 UTC
Aah, his owner doesn't drive, so I still get out of bed to take her there! Certainly wouldn't have missed Saturday for the world though.

Still on Cloud 9,

- By LucyDogs [gb] Date 26.11.07 10:34 UTC
Wow, well done!! I'm interested that people think it's even better to have a sold dog do well than one you still own, as my friend who bred my boy has taken a lot of light hearted teasing over the years. Now she has his nephew who has done really well and just gained his JW, everyone's saying 'so when are you selling him to Lucy?' :-D
- By Lily Mc [gb] Date 26.11.07 10:38 UTC
I hope to do it in stages, Lucy - that's one I've bred, hopefully the next one will be one I own, then I'll aim for the bred AND owned! :D

My first titleholder was owned by someone else, then the 2nd I kept :D, I now have a bitch I bred sitting on 2 CC's & 3 RCC's owned by friends of mine.

Congratulations!  What a wonderful accomplishment!
And to answer your question as to where to hang your Breeder's Diploma, right out in the open!
Personally, I have a "dog wall"  where I hang the Championship Diploma's and Rosettes for BOB and Group Placements.  When people come see the pups, it shows that the Bitch and Sire have done well in the ring, and they can see how the pedigree as a whole as done in the ring.

Congratulations!

Speaking of breeders Diploams, I got a really nice one from the Irish Kennel Clbu a few weeks back, much nicer than ous and bigger too.

Also got a very pretty one from Australia.

Why are ours so dull????
- By KateM Date 27.11.07 11:00 UTC
At least you got one - Sweden don't send them out :(

- By Brainless [gb] Date 27.11.07 11:08 UTC
Well both my foreign ones were sent on by the owners for me.  Though there wasn't one for the Polish one.
- By RRfriend [se] Date 28.11.07 04:55 UTC
In answer to KateM;
To register your dog's champion title with the Swedish Kennel Club, you fill in a form. To get a diploma, you order one on that form, and it will be sent to you, at a cost of about 20£. I can't see why your dog's owner in Sweden could'nt order you an extra diploma? All it would take would be a phone call to the Swedish KC. Worth a try, maybe?
