can anyone tell me if i can take my 5 month old puppy with me to champ shows as not for competition

NFC for puppies 4-6 months is only for certain shows, I seem to remember it is breed shows and sub group shows, not general champ.shows/open shows.

The LKA is a general champ show, dogs are allowed not for competition (NFC) as for our local open shows no one would know cos no passes are need :)

Dogs are entered not for competition at LKA the price is £10 so the puppies age would need to be declared on the entry form.

ah yes sorry, I forgot we were talking about a puppy. I do apologise :)

All day at a champ show is really too much for a baby puppy not to mention the travel - they should be home playing and sleeping and growing

Thankyou for your replies. This is not a general champ show that i was wanting to take her to, it is a breed champ show and will not last too long also she would be crated with her mother so should not be too tiring for her

You will still need to enter her NFC or she won't be allowed into the show precinct. I would get in touch with the show secretary and check with him/her.

It does depend whether the society are accepting entries from 4 to 6 month olds as not for competition though. 

I entered my pup and her sister and several other young pups (as well as ones old enough to be shown) were entered too at our breed club championship show. 

I know that some on the committee were against the the idea but the pups had a whale of a time.

Have phoned the secretary and he said we can take her nfc. Am only doing this as i can't get a puppy sitter on this occassion. Hope she enjoys her day out.
