Can anyone help me with info on a supplier of the plucking scissors that lock?  I can't remember what the proper name is for them.  I bought mine at Crufts on one of the grooming stands, but I've mislaid the darn things, and I'm lost without them.  Two of my breeds have ears that need plucking, and I can't wait until next Crufts!

Is this what you're looking for?

Yes, that link is for ear forceps / artery forceps, that's what you want. :-)

Thanks Dill - that is exactly what I was looking for.  I was so desperate I even had a go with my eyebrow tweezers!  But the proper equipment is so much easier to use!  Help much appreciated.

why dont you try using thornit and just pull the hair out with your finger and thumb ?

Some dogs have small ear openings and if you have large fingers it can be difficult to get a grip on the hair - especially if the hair grows right down in the ear canal too ;)

Finger and thumb is just fine for my Beardies, but the other two breeds - no way.  I don't have large hands, but even I can't get finger and thumb together in the ear of my two other breeds, which often weigh less than a Beardie lughole!
