Can anyone tell me where I can buy Bay Rum from please? or send a link for where to buy.I have tried my local chemist and they donot sell it any more.

That's a blast from the past Sue.  We used to use Bay Rum, Cologne and water mixed in equal quantities as a coat dressing for Roughs! :)

I haven't bought any for years but it used to be on the shelf with mens' hairdressing stuff in Boots.  Might be worth a look if you are passing a large branch. :)

Daresay it'll be cheaper if you can get it at Boots Sue, but they do have some on ebay if you're foiled elsewhere.

Not far off here is what wikipedia says:

"Bay rum is the name of a cologne or an after-shave.

It is a distillate that was originally made from rum and the leaves or berries of the West Indian Bay tree, Pimenta racemosa. Other ingredients may be citrus and spice oils.

Bay rum was quite popular in the early 20th century; while still in use, it is no longer common.

Other uses include as under-arm deodorant and as a fragrance for shaving soap."

I didn't hqave a clue what it was so had to look it up.
