Does anyone know where I can get this years results for this weeks show from?  Briedog e-mailed me details but it was only showing up last years, or are fossedata and higham's press treating us too well doing it within minutes of judgin?

I do realise that this is petulant and I am spoilt by Fosse/Higham :D but would it really be so difficult to put placings to VHC and tell us how many were in the class, whinge!?

I agree, and also would it be that difficult for them and fosse to put BD BB instead of Cc winners at non CC shows.  If that were correct then I would have bred at least one more champion, as the dog on two CCs woudl have five or 6 now.

Don't complain Brainless! :-D

Well it is a bit galling seeing him credited with CC's he hasn't got and now at 8 1/2 is unlikely to get that magic third. :(

Why, do they look old quickly in your breed? In mine 8 ½ would not be rare at all for CCs.

Not in mine either , but there are pletny of nice dogs in their prime to compete against.  He still manages to place in first 3 more often than not.  We had a bitch made up last year at 8 years old even after two litters.

Another bitch was made up a few years ago at 10 years of age, but it does start to get less likely the older they get.  If asked his age I don't tell the truth   I have memory failure and think he's about 6.

Don't blame you Barbara, they're judging him against the standard, not giving him points for his age. I'd do the same.

Well he did really well in the Veteran stakes yesterday, a well filled class and he was third.

He was moving in high gear really showing off.

The judge picked his winners on the move, though not in reverse order,a dn eh was having a ball.

Unusually these days teh judge moved the dgos together in groups appropriate to size.

We were in the lst group with 3 tall sighhunds and the Afghan owner behing us was heard to comemnt about being behind a slow dog, and he didn't see us for dust and never closed the gap between us :D

I was practically in tears.  He might not be glamourous, a bit old fashioned actually, but I was proud of him as he sure would do a days work.

Oh got Best Bitch with his half great neice Lexi.

Lucky you, in Cavaliers these days if you aren't made up by 2 there's virtually no hope, so at 5 years old that's it for us! Never mind, he's my champion!
- By Goldmali Date 13.06.07 18:39 UTC
Fosse doesn't do that now. It now correctly just says BB BD etc when there were no CCs.
- By Brainless [gb] Date 13.06.07 19:04 UTC
Oh that is good then, as it was a bit annoying.

I agree, looked up a friend of mine in Gundogs and thought she had got the wonderful 3rd CC so rang her to congratulate and nope there were no tickets, so yes it is annoying
