Can anyone tell me the best way to defrost these. Their frozen solid.
The pet shop man said I could microwave them but I don't think I could stand the smell. I usually buy the AMP freeflow mince.
Thanks, Deirdre

If you microwave on defrost setting their is no smell, or leave out in a container overnight, will be defrosted by morning. Thats what I do.
Thanks to all who replied.
I did it in the microwave on defrost as you suggested Marguerite and there was no smell at all so thanks for the tip.
Both my Staffies (Charlie 2 and 1/2 and Molly 7 months) cleaned their bowls in no time. Deirdre
I usually defrost it in the fridge though sometimes put it in a container on the side. Saying that - mine are perfectly happy to eat it frozen :)

I feed it in the evening meal, so I take the block out of the freezer in the morning.
:)

I fed my lurchers and greyhounds on this 20 years ago. There was alady with a van and they used to deliver per fortnight. Take 1 per dog out of the freezer before bed every night and that way, even if you feed it at night it will be defosted and it will remind you to get out some more. My greyhoudn lurcher lived till 15 on this.
Thanks for the tip. What mixer did you feed with it?
