Could anyone tell me what the main signs of a food intolerance are?

Many thanks.

Caronanne.

Thank you for the replies, I feed a complete food and he has a fantastic coat and is very fit and healthy in every other way, although he is a little underweight as he will not eat great quantities, he has always been a picky eater so I add items to his food to make it more palatable, one of those items has been corned beef, dont shout : )  he has recently started to refuse his food again and been very quiet and subdued, my vet explained that this happens when a dog has severe stomach ache.  Purely by coincidence I had stopped giving him the beef and I had my old Rannoch back, jumping around full of beans and eating again.  This weekend I gave him a tin of corned beef with his food and again, we have bad breath, lethargy and totally off his food, although initially he does eat the mix well.  This has made me think he may have an intolerance to the beef which has worried me because I realise that that this can be an ingredient of may complete foods, perhaps he isnt a picky eater but does know that the food I give him isnt that good for him, am I totally off course with this???  I have tried feeding the Barf way but again he has such a bad reaction to the meat and I have given it time, that I have to take him off it.  Could these be the symptons on an intolerance?

many behaviour problems can also be traced to food intolerances.

If you wish to identify the cause http://www.animal-allergy.com/ has proved useful to many.
