Hi, just wondered, if anyone feeding Barf and use kennels, what you did when you put your dogs into them. Do you just feed Nature diet for the time they are in there??
Hope this makes sense!!    (We are going away and just wanted to know what i should expect the kennels to feed) do you get me????

I bag up my raw meals in labelled freezer bags; all the kennel staff have to do is defrost and throw......... :D

Last time mine were in kennels I took their own food in and got a reduction in the price as I supplied the food. Ask about that, you should find most kennels do have freezers to keep the food in.

When I put my two in kennels for the weekend I had them fed naturediet (the closest alternative), as the kennel couldn't feed them raw.

We would feed your dogs barf, we would ask you put it in meal sized portions and freeze it, then we would defrost and feed as necessary.
Dawn.

I found a kennel where the owner fed her own dogs on BARF and is quite happy to feed boarders this way

I work at a boarding kennels and as long as the owner can provide the barf we will feed it to the dog after all it is best to keep the dogs diet exactly the same, and we have had several dogs come in on a barf diet. We also have naturediet delivered to the kennel regularly, generally as long as you can provide the food frozen a kennel will have no problems feeding it to your dog
