CAN ANYBODY HELP ME!!?? I HAVE AN 16 MONTH OLD NEWFOUNDLAND WHO HAS BEEN ON ROYAL CANIN ALL OF HIS LIFE AND DONE VERY WELL. HE IS NOT A GREAT EATER AND RATHER FUSSY BUT HE HAS FILLED OUT WELL. HOWEVER MY CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE CHANGED AND I AM AT UNIVERSITY(STUDYING NURSING), COULD ANYONE SUGGEST A CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE? HE IS CURRENTLY ON GIANT JUNIOR (APPROX £37.00) BUT WOULD HOPE TO SPEND ALOT LESS, ALTHOUGH I DON'T WANT TO PUT HIS HEALTH AND WELLBEING AT RISK. AS MY NEWFIE HAS SEVERE ARTERIAL STENOSIS AND IS CURRENTLY ON 100MG OF ATENALOL PER DAY, I DON'T WANT HIM TO BECOME OVER WEIGHT AND IN TURN PUT STRAIN ON HIS HEART. PLEASE HELP !!
I feed my Ridgeback Wafcol , which is very well balanced for weight balance and nutrition (ridgebacks are deep chested , so care with weight is required) and it usually costs about £28 for a large sack of 15kg I think. look on the Wafcol website but you need to phone them. They should give you the advice you need for the giant breed feeding requirement with their food. Hope this helps !

The greyhound versions of their food are better priced as they have no VAT!!! They do a Racing, Resting and Puppy version.
