hello
we have a 3month old westie called jack. hes getting on really well with housetraining and everything.
the only thing is he keeps getting hiccups. it happens everyday and he bets them about 3 to 4 times aday, they dont last very long, but im sure it annoys him. they even happen when hes tryng to sleep.
he eats him food normal, sometimes really fast (which could give him hiccups) and he also eats slow. but even if he hasnt eaten he gets them which is strange?!
any info on why he gets them would be great,
thankyou x
Libby used to get hiccups a lot too when she was a pup. From what I gather, it's quite normal, and they soon grow out of it.

My old dalmatian Polly used to get hiccups a lot. Eating, drinking, getting startled - it seemed anything would set her off! But she grew out of it.

Most puppies get hiccups. It's just a sign that they are growing and its perfectly normal.
If they eat too fast and swallow too much air they don't hiccup - they generally throw up. And then consume it at a slower pace. :-)

Normal growing puppy stuff - so don't forget to check collars fit correctly and aren't getting too tight ;)
