I have an 11mth old male tibetan terrier. Everything has been fine with him until
about a month ago. His training is going well apart from his constant "mouthing" when he greets anyone. Voice control does'nt seem to be working with him & I have been told this is the best type of control with a t.t.
an anyone pls help, any advice welcome...

I'm not quite sure how to deal with mouthing on greeting, does he do it still once he's calmed down
My lab mouthed only as a young pup but we found putting her into another room for a few minutes every time she did worked wonders
Sorry cant be of more help

Does he know the command 'sit'? If he does I'd ask him to sit to greet people, and not pay him any attention until he does as he's been asked. Also make sure he's still got enough 'chewy' things as many dogs go through a second teething phase at around this age..........

Thanks for replys-Yes he does sit on command-but he seems very strong minded, this is the 1st male dog & t.terrier I have had, (I am used to having CKCS)Yes he does calm down after initial greeting, but if family/friend then fusses him he starts mouthing again(I normally take him into another room where he yaps for a while then calms down & I'll bring him thru again) I am doing the right thing?
He doesn't mouth me, although before Christmas when I told him off for he growled & barked at me! he hasn't done it since & I think hes just trying to be the top dog!
