I rescued a westie called Jock from DAWGS in Aberdeen earlier on this year.  I knew that he has issues but was told that the dog was housetrained, how wrong they were!  He will urinate on anything he see's, clothes, washing machine, tumbledryer, rubbish bin.  You could just be in from a walk with him and he will do it.  I have another dog (not a westie) who has been neutered for some time now and Jock wont leave him alone, he's always trying it on with him and also licking him all over, his ears have never been so clean!  The old boy is the dominant of the pair but Im not sure whether Jock is trying to get rid of his scent from the house or what he's trying to do.  Im stuck...........I would be grateful if theres anyone else out there who could give me information on how I could resolve this problem.

Neutering Jock will certainly do no harm IMHO!

How are you cleaning up after these incident?  And what do you do when he does it? How does your other dog react to Jocks antics? Housetraining is often a seperate issue to this sort of thing, which appears to be marking rather than lapses in training - I also assume he has been checked for any urinary tract infection which can also cause this kind of behaviour...........

Why don't you toilet train him yourself....maybe he just hasn't been trained (ever) or has forgotten it (completely)...

I don't know but when you come you could try putting him out straight away and keep his usual targets off limits...as for his odd interaction with your other dog...
have no idea, my 2 dogs lick each other but not so vigerously, the apha is always having a good chew on the little'n's ears...
