Aha, after 8 months of work finally got Morse to stop pulling on GL and walk beside me ! We can do without it and use his half check but not  for the whole walk yet in case I try to run before walking again. Now need to persuade him to stay with me instead of launching into space when off lead.......

Well done you.  I don't think I will ever be able to walk Saffy on anything except her halti.  she still pulls something chronic on that but even if she walked nicely at heel I could never be without it.  Once we were standing still outside my Mums house and she spotted Mum before I did - she took off so fast and suddenly, her lead caught on the edge of the wall and snapped! (LUcky really else she may have dislocated my arm!) Also, when she is walking nicely on her halti (usually on the way home), when we get to a corner where she knows cats are usually around the other side she takes off (although I am gradually training her out of this!).  I know though that I could never hold her on a normal collar if she did decide to suddenly take off.

Congratulations it's hard work isn't it, but well worth it in the end. So pleased you've got there.

One more thing when you finally get him to stop launching into space when you let him off let me know will you :D Sal goes into orbit, luckily she does come into land after a few minutes ;)
