Topic Dog Boards / Behaviour / Weeing in the house?!

Our 13 week old GSD puppy, has been clean in the house since the day after we brought him home...until yesterday that is. He wee'd on his towel (which is in his bed), after chasing it round the kitchen floor for some time. Then later on he wandered into our living room and wee'd on the carpet. Very unusual for him.
Also any advice on stopping him jumping up at us, when we come into the house or downstairs in the morning (i know he's excited, but I worry he may hurt the kids, they are only little). I don't mind his being all excited but would love to stop him jumping up as he's going to be a very BIG dog before we know it!
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Jools

He is too young to be reliable in the house and may well have accidents for some time yet. We deal with jumping up by turning out back on the dog and walking away, if they get no response they soon stop.

Across our hall we have a baby gate which Dylan (6 month old Golden Retriever) is not allowed past unless we are taking him out for a walk. This stops him going upstairs, and also keeps him under control when I'm answering the front door. What we have done since we first had him is to not go through the gate to him until he is sitting. So he doesn't get any fuss or attention until he is in a sit. And he can't jump up while he is sitting. He now knows that he he has to behave for attention.
