Hello,
There are some people that have asked me what a gencon - otherwise known as a figure of eight lead is. Basically it's the same as a halti, but its design is such that it cannot rise into the dogs eyes and if the dog gets the nose piece off, it then acts as a slip lead.
The website that sells them is www.naturaldogfoods.co.uk . I haven't seen any pet shops sell them, but some stalls at shows sell them. Many people in agility are now using them, prefering them to haltis.

Hi

Saw your message re Gencons - full name is the Gentle Controller and they are available from some pet shops as I have one from my local shop.

The concept is very similar to John Fisher's original Col-Leash but, in use, I personally found the Gencon easier to use.
