Ignore her! If she gets a reaction from you of any kind she will carry on - you have to be strong..Ignore her as soon as you enter the house and when you sit down and dont let her jump up on you (her owner should discourage this also), if you want to interact with her later then you do it on your terms if she gets too much then stop and ignore her again.
Hope this helps.
Sarah.
ive tried that already it dont seem to work.

How many times have you tried it ? It will not work immediately & needs to be totally ignoring her not pushing her away etc & no eye contact

I agree with Moonmaiden ...no eye contact AT ALL. Don't touch her ...ignore her completely :) She knows that if she is pushy she will get attention so it will take quite a while for her to get the message that you are not going to respond.
When she goes away and lies down quietly ..give her a few minutes and then call her over to say hello ..as SOON as she gets over excited ..go back to ignoring her , she will get the message that lying down and being good gets the reward
ive tried all this no eye contact,or touching her just winds her up and gets her more hypo,se dont seem to go and lie down at all she is very hypo and nuts to much for me to handle.glad my bc pup isnt that nuts, thats whatt you get with different up bringings.i will keep trying this no eye contact etc and hopefully one day she will get the idea.
just an update ive been ignoring the pup in question and it seems to be working but her owner informs me that she dont want to near him at all, when i go there she wants to know me to much ,when i dont go there she will not do anything her owner says the same when im there.its getting to be a real problem for example today i went with him to take her out she was jumping like a wild horse while on her lead and just going crazy,so i said ok give me that lead so i put one part of the lead in my right hand and held the other part in my left hand and the pup walk along my left hand side nice as pie, whilst doing this i was talking to her and resurring her all was ok,so i thought we should test water and let her owner have a go well back to square one yet again, at home she acts like a real hypo crazy loon jumping running wild all the time any advice please on what to do next many thanks

It sounds to me like the problem isnt the way the dog is with you, but the fact it isn't getting all it's needs met by it's owner.
How much exercise does she get a day? What about mental stimulation and training?
Maybe she's just soooo bored, that when someone new and exciting comes in she's overexcited and gets too obsessive?
I do find it odd that she's not that bonded with her owner though, every bc I've known has had a really strong bond with the owner and no-one else.
Jo
right i have been informed that she goes out 3 time a day for a run about each lasting about 30/40 mins,he is taking her to dog training next week so hopefuly that will help her bond with him,he plays with her and she has loads of toys she had bonded with him but suddenly dont want to know him at all,i to find this rather strange
i have a bc pup to and only had her 4 weeks and she sticks to me like glue, follows me every where and she is so willing to learn new things everyday.
