I know the Gwen Bailey book is good for puppy owners.
I usually give the 2 books by Lynn Fleet and Helen Roberts about puppy survival and adolescence but these are out of stock everywhere right now.
Are there any other good books, not for 1st time dog owners but maybe for those who haven't had a pup for a while or a refresher. Balanced training and guideline books covering puppyhood and adolescence.

It's usually a good idea to have Breed-specific books, of which I have a load (of my own breed).
I have another called Puppy Perfect by Sarah Hodgson (it says on the cover - author of DogPerfect and Puppies for Dummies). Published by Howell but it may well be out of publication by now.
you can often get 2nd hand copies on Ebay
Easy peasy puppy squeezy by Steve Mann. Very easy to understand and easy reading. £4 on amazon at the minute
Jack and Billy, Puppy Tales by Sally Bradbury and Stephen Goodall.
If I was still breeding I would give a copy to every first time puppy owner.

The breed books are rather outdated in many parts. The only decent one is a hard backed book which is very expensive and can't find enough copies of that out there either. The cheaper 9.99 books don't hold much valuable info in them sadly. Need a long standing breeder to produce a new up to date one.
I have found Lyn Fleet's email and I'm able to buy books direct from her.

I found it really easy to read, amusing and made sense. Pleased you liked it
