I read here that membership of some dog charities offer this ....does anyone remember which ones?

Yes it was Dogs Trust -think it was earlier this year I checked when the subject came up.

Hi yes it is well worth joining the Dogs Trust - if you are under 50 its just £25.00 per year and you are covered for ALL your dogs worldwide for up to one million pounds worth of third party liability insurance.
they also give you access to a vet by phone - so as well as supporting the great work they do this is a really good offering for you

Because the person joined and posted the same thing twice on two different old threads about the same subject. Strange way for a normal new member to behave, but you may be right and they just happened upon two threads with the same topic and their announcement is innocent of any commercial aim.
