We walked the dogs up on the South downs this morning as normal, the snow was falling constantly and settleing on the hills and on the trees, just a few more hours of this and it will look lovely again. :):) We have had some good snow since returning home with huge flakes but unfortunately it is not settleing on the lower ground. Such a waste of good snow ! :( :(

Doing the same here in Brighton, settling minimally on the grass and other vegetation but no where else as its far too wet!!!

We had that just over a week ago. It was weird as it had been raining for 2 hours heavily, then snowed for 2 hours and stuck straight away but then rained again so it was gone as quickly as it came.  If we are going to get snow I would rather have the proper stuff.  Was so looking forward to getting some dog photo's in the snow as we rarely get it in South Manchester :)

It's all stopped now, I don't know what is up on the downs at the moment though, but nothing down on the lower ground!:(

Move to Canada or the U.S. North East.  :)  Where I am in Canada the big storm only left about a foot of snow, on top of the half foot or so remaining from that last thaw.  On Friday we snowshoed about an hour and half.  On Saturday we shoed 3 hours, mostly untracked snow, into a cedar swamp that is mostly inaccessible except in winter.  On Sunday we cross country skiied 9 kms and only met three snowmobiles.  The snowmobiles are going crazy so we were lucky, though I did go out early to avoid them.  I don't understand why Oban was so, so good at RAlly practice Sunday night.  I thought he'd be pooped but he was exceptionnally good. 

And this morning it's above freezing, we are expecting rain and I think I might cry.
