Hi all :)
I'm a bit stuck for a name for my new puppy. I got him 5 days ago and the poor boy hasn't got a name yet. He's a Japanese Spitz (white of course). All suggestions very welcome.
I had a poodle one time called Snowy but he bullied my other dog, and there's a Misty living next door.
All suggestions very welcome.
Ice.
Topical at the moment :)

What's the Japanese word for snow/ice/frost?

I like Polo or Polar
The Japanese translation for snow is Yuki, not really a good name for a cute puppy though. lol

Snow is yuki and I think there is a huge amount of yuki jap spitz lol , I have one and I know many more. I remember going to get her(she was my first) and telling the breeder proudly her name and lookng back her face said yeah you and everyone else :) ky friend another breeder said every other puppy buyer calls them yuki. Mine is mostly called truffles now cos shes a grade a piggy :)
Japanese for pure white is Masshiro, and white is Shiro. Ice is Koori and frost is Shimo.

Nanook after the silent movie 'Nanook of the North' they were Inuit not Japanese but penty of snow!

Koori is really nice :)
Lars was the littlest polar bear :)
Mum was thinking of calling him Jamie. I'm not too fussed on that name though. Other names she was thinking of were Teddy, Lexie, Oscar.

I have a white jap spitz called blu, I feel a right prat calling him outside but thst was the colour of his nail varnish as a baby andi couldn't get out the habit of calling him.
We're calling him Ice.
I told my aunt the name yesterday and she wasn't keen on it. It was a bit of a silence then Oh. Then she said sometimes a short sharp name is nice for a dog.
