I use the Lupine combo collars for Collarways too. I was never a fan of these but my youngster backed out of his collar once when he met a swan and I realised how easily he could get a conventional collar over his head!! It wasn't a question of how tight it was but more to do with the size and shape of his neck...
All the fixings are metal except for the size adjuster buckle which is plastic. They always have a number of sizes and patterns on special offer so are pretty good value for money and worth a try at those prices.
IMO the Lupine collars are really good quality and I've never had the plastic adjuster break in all the years I've been using them, and as dogs a babe says it is only the size adjuster that is plastic, everything else is metal. They even come with the Lupine anti-chew guarantee.
now youve got me going ,those essenjay collars look beautiful, I can' find prices though do I have to ring up and ask? Lupino do they do half check's or do people mean the combo collar, if so is that safe to leave on indoors and running free ?
Just found out where my breeder got my gsd's" pet bits online." I am pleased with it lots of designs and wearing well after a year on him 24/7 He is alarge gsd and very boisterous so the collar gets a bit of pulling
The combo collars are half checks, it's just that what would be the chain bit is fabric, if that makes sense. I don't leave collars on my lot in the house but haven't had any problems with them running free on walks.
