JG - how do you get your quote to come out grey?

JenP, if you put a > symbol immediately before the quote it gets greyed out. :)
We make sure our cross breeds have homes usually months beforehand im afraid not easy dogs to get hold of unless you are a lab or poodle breeder trying to jump on genuine labradoodle breeders bandwagons..so to speak

How can you "plan" a labradoodle litter, you have no idea what the puppies will develop like, some will favour one parent, some another and still more will fall anywhere inbetween. Having owned crossbreeds in the past I also know that what the puppy looks doesn't always tell you a great deal about the adult dog.
It wouldnt matter to me whether it was a pedigree dog or cross breed, if i got it from a rescue centre i would be pleased for rehoming it anyway..2 of my dogs are pedigreed and i rescued them from different types of bad homes, it doesnt go to say just cause there pedigreed dogs they arent mistreated or abused neither can be said because labradoodles are cross breeds they end up unwanted
Come on folks!!!
How many of you would breed your puppies to end up in dogs homes!!!! None of you i bet!!! Whether top class crufts winners or mongrels every dog has the same feelings and no breeder would wish for their pups to end their life that way..Why do people think because labradoodles are "Cross breeds" they end up in dogs homes!!! Another misconception..yes there are heaps of cross breeds in homes but as i said usually from pet owners having accidents with their pets not labradoodle breeders who are trying to assert themselves in getting a breed recognised..now surely that would be stupid!!!! why try so hard for labradoodles to be recognised in their own rights to end up in dog rescue centres.. does any breeder do that??? so why think we are any different
I honestly dont think it would matter how good a response i give to you folks you all seem to have your opinions already and see labradoodles as accidents that are all going to end up in dogs homes!! Have any of you even bothered to look up or speak to anyone who has a Doodle??? Do you even care!!!

I don't see Labradoodles as accidents, more's the pity! Nor can I not see that they can be placed very carefully in (hopefully) lifetimes homes as much as any breeder can, it's just that they are a crossbreed that does not give the purchasers the benefit of knowing what they are buying, as in the case of a pure bred, so it that is not important to them why not give one of the homeless an opportunity of a good home.
I think I have already mentioned that I have met a Labradoodle not that I see that as particularly relevent as clearly the old adage "met one met them all" is not going to apply in this case ;)
Deb,
Can I just ask what countries you are talking about when you say "Other Countries"?
lets get a dog that ends in oodle then..then its bound to be popular..what rubbish a name doesnt mean nothing!!!
chill peeps,every1 has diferent oppinions! :d
One thing has always bothered me about Labradoodles and other so-called "New" breeds, maybe someone can clear up for me?
If there are so many 'reputable breeders' who have devoted their lives to developing this new breed, why haven't they been able to think up a name for it? I don't claim to be an expert on pure-breed names, but I don't think I know of any recognised pure breed whose name is a combination of the two parent breeds originally used to create it.
