So sorry to hear it is time to say goodbye - I can't imagine what it's like to be without such a loved member of the family, as my 3 dogs are my first ever dogs, and I hope it will be a long time before I have to lose them. I'm sure he has had a wonderful life with you although not as long as you wanted. I'll be thinking of you all tomorrow.

Hi Shads

I am so sorry, we had our girl pts at home and it was the best thing we did for her - her own environment, nice calm and relaxed with her loving family holding her. The vet and nurse was very considerate they gave her the injection and stood back to let me hold her for as long as I wanted, they took her away for me and gave the crematoriam my instructions of having her cremated separately and I received a lovely box which I put her photo and one of the lovely poems that are on this board in it. She now sits on my window sill.

I will be thinking of you and your family in this hard time. My best wished to you all.

It only hurts this much, when they mean so much and it's only cause you love him so much that you won't let him suffer. This will be one of the hardest things you will ever have to do. Be strong for him and we're all thinking of you both.
