RSPCA? Don't know what the letters are MENT to stand for, but for at least the last 10 years they have made a good job of extracting money form the caring public to form a POLITICAL LOBBYING group, and a succesfull job they have made of it.

yups, its a very interesting question that, 'what happens to my money, if it doesnt go to rescue/rehoming centres, and you appear not to turn out when called out to emergencys'.........

well, i suspect the answer to that one (and it would be interesting to pose it directly at them, as a charity i suspect they have to publish some sort of accounts thingy yearly) is that it goes towards staff wages, building fancy new headquarters (i believe on greenbelt land), and lots of political stuff, mostly.

There was an interesting article about the RSPCA in Dogs today mag, some time back now. It made for enlightening reading.

I think though, the best help you could give animals, is by helping out at rescue centres, either rspca ones, or others, rather than by giving the rspca money.

not sure if i should of done what i just did but how cares us not the RSPCA. I jus registered myself on the RSPCA site ond put this message on there:
I resently read a very desturbing post on a dog site, as you the RSPCA did not help in one way perhapos someone would like to read it and voice there opinion.

http://www.champdogsforum.co.uk/cgi-bin/board/topic_show.pl?tid=26500

Copy and paste the heading above into the address bar, i would strongly suggest someone read it as the reputation on the RSPCA is going down the pan

Perhaps someone will read all of the posts and reply, it would be nice to hear why the have not done anything to help.
Should of checked the spelling first :)

I once received a call from a lady who was very concerned about the welfare of a dog in her neighbourhood. During our conversation, it transpired she worked for a local newspaper. I advised her to call the RSPCA, giving her works number as a contact. They called out that day. I've know it take 3 months :(

Well they came out within 5 hours when I found a sick hedgehog! These are obviously far more serious than mistreated dogs with owners.
