I just wanted to put in my two penneth about disabled/mother and baby parking. I have 2 children and think the mother and baby spaced are a godsend, yes it is great if they are close to the store, but for me it is the space they give you either side of the car, cars are generally bigger than they used to be, and it does annoy me when people park so close it is practically impossible to get your child back in, especially when the child reached the aversion to getting in the car seat age and it takes all your strength and two pairs of hands to get them in - and they must be able to see the car seats!!!
Saying that, I would have no objection to a genuinely disabled person using one of the spaces, it is the young able bodied popping in on their way home from work in their little sports cars, or the person who is NOT disabled using the stickered car, with the disabled person nowhere to be seen!
