No.
I have just bought a puppy, with my bloodlines, and have another coming home in September, and have/will add my Affix to their names, but I cannot delete their breeders affix.
With the second pup I bred the mother, and had I also bred the sire, (I bred his mother) I could have added my Affix in front of the breeders.

Frankie went back to one of our boys and I added our kennel name ....... 'Breeders name' then Latin Lover and then with 'our kennel name'
A name cannot be changed if the dog has a Stud Book number.
I registered my prefix in 1967.It cost 15 guineas to compound it for life !! 15 guineas was the price of a puppy then, but it was certainly a good investment, and has made registration easy ever since.

The KC affix for 2022 is Kenzduo
Can I please just check I've understood this all correctly please? The KC are a nightmare to get through to on the phone (been trying for hours) and there's no email address. This is my first litter so want to make sure I've got this right.
I don't want the 'Kenzduo' affix for this year to appear on my litter. If I DON'T get my own kennel name, but choose the pups names that are two names together eg. Dotty Snapdragon is it right that that's all her name will appear as? The Kenzduo is only applied if I only choose Dotty for example?
If I do want to get a kennel name of my own, is it possible to register that as the same time as the litter? So then it would be 'my kennel name Dotty Snapdragon'?
You could have Kenzduo Dolly Snapdragon as you're allowed 2 additional words
If I were you I would apply for an affix now as it does take some while. If you start the process they have been very good at speeding it up if your litter has been born

Thanks Ells-Bells, I don't actually want the Kenzduo bit. Finally managed to get through on the phone this afternoon and they were really helpful. You only get the Kenzduo part if you ask them to select the names. Otherwise it's just the name you choose, and your affix if you have one.
I'd sort your affix asap if I were you

No, definitely not. Unless the system has changed, affix applications are published in the Kennel Gazette to give other affix holders time to object if they think it's too similar to their own, in which case the application would be rejected and one of your alternatives would then go through the same process. I'd expect an application to take a minimum of 6 weeks before approval, and possibly longer.
A lady who had a litter from my boy was able to get hers done at the same time, I was amazed!
Mark, I think Kenquartz & Kenquince should be the other way around ie. Kenquartz = 2014 & Kenquince = 2015

I think 2025 is
Kenbloom. It would appear the kennel name refers to the year of registration rather than the birthdate of the litter.
