He loves whelping, I have to fight to get a look in these days.

He's not much good with anything else with the dogs, I walk, feed show, but he loves getting stuck in with whelping.

Wow you are lucky, mine always hid upstairs for a mating, never mind a whelping!! I suppose he did enjoy taking pictures of the puppies once safely arrived. :-p

As for baking...LOL, not likely!!!

Blimey LOL. To me the Christmas baking IS Christmas and matters far more than the meal and the presents put together. :-) I cut it down a bit this year but still made 7 different cakes and 2 different types of bun plus two different types of biscuits. Vital! :-) But then of course what I bake you can't go out and buy in English shops. I don't think I could cheat and buy ready made even if I still lived in Sweden though, as to me it is strong tradition.

That was what my Mum was like! We would come home Christmas Eve to the smell of mince pies sausage rolls and stuffing for just about the whole street.  Dad would be icing the cake (sent from Ireland). Happy memories still makes me smile.

Drifted slightly off topic methinks. In my experience, dog walkers, doggy day care etc are non existent. So no I will not let people who work full time have a puppy.

Wow this is a  growing and thriving industry, plenty easily found but totally unregulated.  Though some do come under Boarding Kennel  licenses.
