A bit of feedback on microfibres towels
I bought a selection of these, three small and one large. Although I have a good selection of dog towels getting them dry again is the main problem especially if we are away in the motorhome or at our static van. Thoroughly tested them this weekend!
We had been planning to go away for a trip in the motorhome to see how our new retriever pup, Isla, would be and for her to get used to it before a planned tour of Scotland next year. An occasion arose for us to be Nottingham way last weekend so we booked onto a site right opposite a small country park with good walks. Great thought I, good walks to wear Isla out and a rather nice campsite and some friends to meet up with. When we booked the weather seemed to be ok, just colder and windy, no problem good heating in the motorhome. The one thing I was dreading was continual rain and a lively and wet young dog in a confined space. I guess you all realise what happened, the rain started the moment we arrived and never stopped. My big mistake was only taking one microfibres towel, could have done with all of them so they had a chance to dry a bit before being called into use again. The microfibres towel was great for getting the the wet off her and then just finishing with an ordinary towel which only got damp instead of soaking wet. The microfibres towelling dries again quickly especially if near a heat source, whereas towels take ages and never really seem dry. Glad I read this thread and bought the microfibres towel before we left.
As tho Isla and motorhoming? She thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing and took to it like a duck to water (which as we were beginning to grow webbed feet, was handy). She settled very well in the van and got used to getting out of the way or finding spots out of being trodden on. She even spent most of the night in her designated sleep spot and didn't try to join us in our bed during the night. Looks like the Scotland tour is on!
