- By white lilly [gb] Date 05.02.13 07:20 UTC
im so tired been awake all night still no pups :( shes stoped shaking and is panting on and off, nesting and keeps jumping onto the sofa no way is she having them on here!!....my daughter cant believe how long its takeing :(.
- By Rhodach [gb] Date 05.02.13 08:25 UTC
You may have to let her have the first one where she wants and then move them to the whelping box or she could delay having the first one if she isn't happy, I have cheap shower curtains for covering and protecting furnishings at times like this and then put a wee pad/newspaper and vetbed on top.

Hope she gets going soon.
- By white lilly [gb] Date 05.02.13 08:53 UTC

Has the vet ruled out inertia ?
- By Goldmali Date 05.02.13 12:00 UTC
I'd be worried about inertia as well to be honest....
- By waggamama [gb] Date 05.02.13 12:32 UTC

- By waggamama [gb] Date 05.02.13 21:09 UTC
Amazing, well done girl and well done you! Sounds fantastic. I also thought we had one more puppy left to come, my vet said that when contracting the uterus clenches and feels like a puppy.
- By white lilly [gb] Date 05.02.13 22:09 UTC
i didnt know that thankyou ,shes been showerd now very settled with her babies feeding and cleaning them ,shes just droped offto sleep now so im makeing sure pups get a nipple they are very greedy :) mums drank loads of puppy milk iv made it more watery then it says ,dont want it upseting her tum,mum will lick but not eat it lol she takes it off and moves it ,its so funny :).
- By Zajak [gb] Date 05.02.13 22:12 UTC
Brilliant news Whitelilly!  So pleased everything has gone well!  Congrats and welcome to the knackered club!
- By Rhodach [gb] Date 05.02.13 22:51 UTC
With all the extra room I have noticed the last pup doing the highland fling as it works it's way down, if there is no visable movement then the chances are she is done.

I use goats milk for the dams, they refuse water for the first couple of weeks and it doesn't upset their systems and comes in Longlife now so doesn't need to be in the fridge till opened, pups get weaned on to it too.
- By white lilly [gb] Date 06.02.13 08:05 UTC
well she stoped at the 5 thank goodness after its her 1st litter shes loveing the lactol milk shes even eat a good amount of natures diet puppy. i got the tin in "just incase" im only doing 1 scoop to just under half a pint in stead of what it says she looks her pre pregnancy shape not thin at all as i was worried about her eating to much or not enough she was also wormed from day 40 with panicur 10% am i right in thinking thay dont need to be wormed now till 3 weeks mum too x
- By Ruby Roo [gb] Date 06.02.13 08:28 UTC
