She threw the door open wide and rushed into the stinking building, as her eyes aclimatized to the gloom she could make out lines of cages down the walls and they were full of ghost dogs, The big golden dog and the Bernies stood at the open door and kept the evil man back while Aileen ran along the rows of cages opening the doors. The ghost dogs ran for the door and as they ran through they unfoded silver wings and flew into the sky. "Noooo" screamed the man but it was too late the ghost dogs flew higher and higher into sky and the man started to melt into a stinking fetid pool on the floor, soon all thet was left was a puddle of foul liquid and a host of happy flying dogs swooping around the trees. Aileen looked into the puddle and saw the collars glinting, she reached in and scooped one out, a dog detached itself from the group in the sky and flew down. She held the collar aloft and the dog slipped into it and dissapeared, one by one she held up a collar and a dog flew down to collect it. Soon they had all dissapeared and it was quiet and calm. She looked at the big golden dog and he waved his plume of a tail, "thank you, these poor lost souls have been trapped for years, the dog napper lived on thier sadness....
( Come on who is going to do the final one....)

Feeling relieved and happy at having liberated the souls of the dogs, Aileen made her way back to the park gates to go home, but as she approached the gate Aileen started to feel very strange. She looked round for her dogs and they too were behaving oddly, looking tense and unhappy. She saw a woman bringing her little terrier into the park and let it off its lead. It ran towards them happily, then stopped; the hackles rose on its back, its tail went down and it returned to its owner, who approached them. "Hello dogs" she said, completely ignoring Aileen."What are you doing here on your own?" Aileen was furious. How dare the woman ignore her like this! But no matter what she said the woman took no notice of her, then walked away with her relieved little dog scampering ahead. Aileen called her dogs and turned back towards the gate, but it seemed to be jammed and she couldn't open it. Then, to her growing horror, she saw, hanging where the collars had been, a necklace just like hers. The price for freeing the souls of the dogs had been the exchange of her own ....

You can become a ghost writer now ! Lol
- By freelancerukuk [gb] Date 12.10.12 11:14 UTC
Well, it doesn't have to be the end. I mean, Dr Who could suddenly appear (whichever incarnation you prefer) or Aileen might have to enter the Underworld and befriend Cerberus (the 3-headed dog and guardian of the threshold to the Underworld in mythology) in order to regain her soul.

Oh dear, perhaps I should get out more.

I'd love to read 'Aileen in the Underworld' :)
