I used a son of a very very popular sire amongst sport bred lines of my breed in this country, I did it because he complemented my bitch both physically and temperament wise, and I am already aware of the lines I will use for her daughter that I kept...for me it was about looking at what I could produce working wise with the current litter and how I could go on to improve my line with the next generation (which with my breed having such a large gene pool is more than possible).

He was at stud for over 10 years so fee went from that to considerably more....and YES I had his second litter... :-( before he got popular.
