To be perfectly honest I've always viewed them as a bit worthless, like being an Irish Champion. Now before I offend too many people (and I realise it may be too late), I know many thousands of good dogs have held all these titles but I've also seen some pretty mediocre specimens that have simply been dragged round enough quiet shows to win, or were promising youngsters that didn't mature as well.
Tigger , that is totally uncalled for , i live in ireland and therefore show on the irish show scene , and winning greenstars is hard work especially in my breed - tibetan terriers - we have to work extremly hard and have quality dogs i am showing tts 4 years and only made the break last year with my tt bitch who has 9 reserve gs 2 cacibs and 4 greenstars she also won the euro winners title
and in ireland we also need to win 7 greenstars and be graded excellent before the dog can even challenge for the greenstar
