She could have her title before she completed her JW, if you found enough Elkhounds to compete against at open show level!   Bizarre system now!

When I showed Mia, I won 5 points one weekend - 2 points won on a Saturday, 3 points won on a Sunday but yet I could only claim for one show or she would've had her's sooner!

Inka Is  a  joy to the eye. Such a beautiful girl and a credit to you Barbara . I can see her going striate to the top. Yes its a pity its so hard for Elkhounds to get there JW. aspeshaly  the bitches as there seem to be so few of them in the show ring, Congratulations again Barbara, I love to here about her wins. She's a real gem :)

    > It is nice to have letters at the front and the end of your dogs name though

To be perfectly honest I've always viewed them as a bit worthless, like being an Irish Champion. Now before I offend too many people (and I realise it may be too late), I know many thousands of good dogs have held all these titles but I've also seen some pretty mediocre specimens that have simply been dragged round enough quiet shows to win, or were promising youngsters that didn't mature as well.

Tigger , that is totally uncalled for , i live in ireland and therefore show on the irish show scene , and  winning greenstars is hard work especially in my breed - tibetan terriers - we have to work extremly hard and have  quality dogs i am showing tts 4 years and only made the break last year with my tt bitch who has 9 reserve gs 2 cacibs and 4 greenstars she also won the euro winners title
and in ireland we also need to win 7 greenstars and be graded excellent before the dog can even challenge for the greenstar

In my breed we get far fewer dogs achieve a JW than we get champions made up.  Lucky to get any most years. Ditto with my breed to. I would neve dismiss any title most people have worked hard for them :-)

I don't think many dogs in my breed get their JW either, just not enough entries.

I don't think there's many show results to top that - delighted for you!

Bet she's gets no.3 before she's a year old and then you'll have to wait for a CC after 12 months old!   Straight from Junior to Open!    EXCELLENT NEWS Barbara, well done.

Just been looking at Inka's page on Barbara's website. Not only is she such a smasher, but truly a pedigree to be proud of - quality not quantity from a clever breeder who knows her lines and will go wherever needed to find the right stud.
