It may be wiser to move this discussion, the way it has panned out, to the private arena rather than the public.
Especially in the light of this Reminder of forum etiquette from Admin (see point regarding personal dispute)
Hope this helps and you can both 'get together' clarify rather than speak through 3rd parties.

It would seem the OP is now somewhat redundant as the poster has come to a conclusion.
Any further comment needed is between the 2 parties concerned :)

I think you are right. Everything I wished to say was said in my OP. I was very careful not to name the breed or draw attention to which breeder this was. I have not spread any lies, as what I have written on here is honest and truthful, and my request for advice was simply that.
I have no desire to get into a slanging match, and have said this before, yet this breeder continues to email me on my home email address with threats of slander, despite being asked not to contact me again. I do not feel I have been slanderous at all, just airing genuine concerns, and stating facts and concerns about health tests and asking more knowledgable people for their views as to if I had made the right decision or been a bit hasty for acting on intuition after my own conversations with this breeder and after some of the things I had been told repeatedly.
In answer to the question posted about the working dogs. The breed is not in the working group, but the exact quote I refer to was 'We test for Hip & Elbow Displasia which we believe is important for any working breed!' (this quote has now been changed, so at least one positive change has come from this).
I am looking forward to welcoming my puppy into my home and so is my wife, and feel we may have had a very lucky escape after reading the response and a previous post by this person,
Thank you all for your advice. I see no reason why this thread should continue, as the original post has been concluded now..
I am now going to catch a train to meet my wife in Scotland where we will collect our new puppy.
Pete
