Bon Jovi - Honeybee I'm going see them on Sunday!!!!!! Gembo I didn't know Bon Jovi were still around, were they good and also how was Dirty Dancing?!

I know almost every song listed here, and it wasnt even my time (I was born in 1984). Now I have the "Knock three times on the celing if you want me, twice on the pipe, if the answer is noooooo." in my head! lol
First record (and yes it was a record) that I had was Locomotion! But the first CD I bought for myself was the Spice Girls. Still listen to their music, and when the new CD came out, from their reunion tour, I bought it, but sheepishly, as I told the counter person it was for my sister!

Honeybee it was amazing, 2 1/2 hours of pure magic with 2 encores! I sang & danced my heart out! They did some new ones but mainly stuck to the good old classics! Livin in a prayer, Keep the faith & my absolute fave In These Arms! I looooovvvveee Jon Bon Jovi - he is sooo sexy! Me & my mum both lost our voices singing!! he he I feel sorry for the people sat next to us!!
Dirty Dancing was equally amazing, it's such a small theatre so the atmosphere is really good, audience is 95% female too so plenty of singing & dancing! I 100% recommend it to anyone!

Dirty Dancing was fantastic.
Was Nadia Coote in it when you saw it? She was the star of the show IMO!!

Until I was about 7 I listened to The Beatles and The Stones because my sisters who are a lot older than me liked them and fought constantly over which group to play on the Dancette (remember these) record player (one preferred The Beatles and one the Stones). My mum adored Gene Pitney and Andy Williams so they also got played whenever the sisters were out and about. Probably explains why I have such a fondness for jangly guitar bands and the blues, although not so fond of Andy Williams - lol.
In my teens I was a huge Bowie and T Rex fan, then went on to punk and ska. I also love Elvis Costello and still keep up with his music.
This thread really is a huge trip down memory lane, I recognise all (or the vast majority) of pop songs, singers and bands. My first single, bought with my own money was 'Your so Vain', Carly Simon. :D

that song (youth gone wild) was my fav at the time to.
I saw Skid Row at hammersmith odeaon with Vain just before they broke into the mainstream.
Now that makes me feel old.
Hee hee we have same tastes! Bet weve been at same venues together! I saw skid row with Vain at The Apollo in Manchester, got standing tickets at front and was so close to Davy Vain could have touched his bare toes! lol then me and my mate went down to london to see them there, must have been the hammersmith we sat outside all day hoping to see Sebastian Bach go in! what a pair of loons!
In fact my eldest dog is called Sebastian after the man himself!!
And dont ask about the time we went to see Motley Crue in Paris and there was a ferry strike! lol

Ozzy Osbourne asked me out once. Many years ago I hasten to add, when Black Sabbath used to play the clubs and pubs around Birmingham. I said no. Just think, It could be me sat next to Simon Cowell. I feel reeeally old. The first record I ever bought was She Loves You by the Beatles.
Wow saxon what a claim to fame!!
You could have been earning mega bucks but you wouldnt have been sat next to simon cowell. Sharon has just left x factor.
Besides....would you want ozzy as your husband? Look at the state of him nowadays :-) if i had children that were showing an interest in drugs or excess alcohol i would show them ozzy and say "go on, abuse drugs and turn in to this" I bet most woud turn down the next drug offered.
