yes! people don't seem to realise that often times a breeder will barely break even, let alone profit from a breeding- research (including going to shows etc), travel, stud fee, vet fees before, during and after for all dogs involved, the all nighters looking after pups, registration...you all know this but my god! that there is love.

And also lets remember that some of these "breeders" may be bragging that they health test, but how much research do they put into the temperaments of the dogs they are breeding? Mum and dad may be very friendly and nice natured, but can they be sure that grandparents and great grandparents were? Responsible breeders do not only research bloodlines and type, they are well aware that most of their puppies go as pets and have to be bred accordingly.

Just looking on Exchange & mart as I tend to do daily, someone is selling Bichon Frise x Maltese - £575 each!

Referred to as 'designer type' dogs by the seller.

Idiot.
