Big {{{HUGS}}}

It's never easy no matter what the reason :(

I'm sure you will begin to feel differently tho when you see the baby healthy and safe.

Hi MollMoo,

I am so sorry that this responsibility fell to you but you have done a very good and wise thing, despite feeling so low :(

Not many of us can feel strength when we need it most but you know now, as before, that you have the utmost support on here for being brave, strong and genuinely caring of your friends and their little baby who IMO you have almost certainly saved from a dangerous situation.

{{{hugs}}} to you,
Teri xxx

Well done, you have been very brave and selfless. How many of us can say that??

Lost my special girl earlier this year, and reading your last post Mollymoo made me well up with tears. Thinking about you - you have been a wonderful friend.

Dearest MollMoo,

Thank-you for posting such a difficult topic,Whenever I have been faced with a difficult decision I always take heart from the wonderful poem by Robert Frost..The Road less travelled by....

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference
.

You took a path not many would have the strength of courage to take..and it has made all the difference, take heart, this was also an easier path for Boomer, who now runs free xx
Bless you (The warmest of Hugs, a Big cuppa, and a waterproof shoulder should you need it.. x)

Great big cyber hugs to you...........................

However hard it has been for you to today take comfort in the fact that you did the right thing for the best possible reasons. And, as difficult as it has been you have saved your friends, their baby and yourself from ever having to face the terrible consequences that inaction may have lead to.
Hugs sent to all of you x

MollMoo, I have been thinking of you all day, I can understand how hard this has been for you. Having lost your own beloved dogs so recently, must have made it doubly difficult. Please take comfort, from knowing that you have probably saved the baby's life.
To echo Teri, I too feel so sorry that this awful responsibilty fell to you, thank God you were there!

With admiration and best wishes,

Linda

You've done the right thing MollMoo. Losing any pet whether its your own or not is devastating but when there's a child a risk there's not really another option. You are a great friend doing what you did and I'm sure the dogs last moments were more special because you were there. It's making me upset just thinking about it so I can't imagine what its like for you at the moment. Thinking of you :)

Molly Moo - so proud of you staying with this dog right to the end.  All dogs deserve that.  Such a difficult thing to offer to do for someone else.  I totally understand your upset, sending cyber hugs.  Everyone on CD has been full of support for you.  True dog lovers are responsible people who sometimes have to make difficult decisions.  Many of us on here would be proud to have a friend like you.

I don't know what to say, but bless you.  You are so brave, and you did a wonderful thing staying with the dog till the end.
Thinking of you.

MollMoo,
You have done the right thing, the ONLY thing, you have potentially saved a babys' life.
It must hurt like hell right now, for you and your friends, I feel for you all, though I bet they will feel so much more relaxed and happier now, knowing their baby isn't in danger,
Well Done x

What a loving soul you are MollMoo. Boomer is at peace now and I think it's wonderful he'll be with your two in such a lovely place. Sending more hugs to help you through a difficult time.
