Barbelka April Dawn - Ekko
3rd April 2016 - 19th July 2016 (Just 15 weeks 2 days).
Run Free Little Angel .
Had the heartbreaking news this morning from Jacqui Jones that little Ekko had taken ill suddenly, and gone down hill very fast despite (with owners being vets) the speediest and best of veterinary attention, they were unable to save her.
I as her breeder who shared half her short life feel absolutely devastated and cannot imagine how Chris, his wife and children are feeling.
That's so sad, poor little pup. My thoughts are with you all, there are no words for how sorry I am. Take care.
How awful for you all. Rip ekko

That's so sad Barbara, I'm sorry x
You can imagine as a Vet they are second guessing everything, no blockage no intesusseption (sp), didn't' seem like Parvo, yet from symptoms of a little sickness and diarrhoea to death in hours.
That's awful, how very, very sad, and not knowing what caused it makes it even worse. :( I'm so sorry.
They did x-rays, and are doing lab work on stools and blood, as you can imagine being a vet he wants to know, as eh is totally guilt ridden thinking he could/should have done something more.
Sorry to hear such sad news. Jane.
Such a sad loss, a life not lived for long but very precious xx

So very sorry :-(
I know it wont really help , but something similar happened locally (west midlands) with a Doberman (adult) a week or so ago. They mustn't be too hard on themselves x x
So very sad :( run free little one xx
Gosh what a shock for you all, I can imagine her owners are feeling especially helpless and need to know what happened, for sure she couldn't have had better care, or owners more likely to notice quickly when something wasn't right.
What a shock for all of you. A pup bred by us died at 7 months for no obvious cause; nothing was found on post mortem. I know how we felt then, so you have all my sympathy.

I lost one at 10 weeks, and I loved her so much. Vets couldn't help either. Barbara I am so very sorry.

Really sorry Barbara. It is so hard. I had to put one to sleep at 7 weeks.
Hope they get some answers to this. Might put some closure on it x
I really feel for the family, and what somehow makes it worse, is this was the puppy I would have kept myself had I not been up to my maximum numbers, and I tell you I was sorely tempted to keep her anyway.
